The Parisian Apartment: A Sunny Escape

The Parisian Apartment

One of my favorite things to do on a rainy day is travel planning. One part research, one part daydreaming and you can be transported to the ends of the earth with a few clicks of a mouse.

I’ve had the pleasure of researching some favorite spots in Italy and Paris for our upcoming summer holiday. Though we finally made our choice of an apartment in Paris I want to share a few lovely Parisian apartments I discovered along the way.

Let’s just call it eye candy of the travel variety.

This chic apartment in St. Germain has that expansive terrace pictured above.

Gorgeous French windows in our centrally located Paris apartment rental

I’ve spotted themes of rich jewel tones, brilliant hues and even fluorescent shades in Parisian apartments.

Sit back and enjoy the a movie on the flat-screen TV in the living room
The iconic windows…. French doors or windows embellished with intricate ironwork and a swath of silk drapery. So classically french and a must for my favorite Parisian apartment ideal.

The views in Paris are spectacular. How about the Eiffel tower with your morning mimosa?

Or by candlelight?

My favorite mix is modern with a retro or vintage flair. I love this classic fireplace and ornate crystal chandelier combined with the modern lucite tables and graphic rug.

Is there anything missing in the photo? French doors, a view, fresh flowers, candle light, champagne, a clawfoot tub with rose petals, silk curtains and the classic ironwork on the balcony. I guess the only thing missing is us.

You go first!

Wow! The evening view of the Eiffel Tower from your en suite bathroom!

Oui, simply add the Eiffel tower and you have Parisian perfection.

You can stay here with these swoon worthy  Eiffel Tower Views.

I’m a big fan of the simplicity of sleek and modern design. Can you just imagine the views from here? The double sliders are amazing for city gazing.

I loved all of these apartments! We rented an apartment when we stayed in Paris last year. My 1st requirement was that it felt “totally French”. It seems all of these apartments meet that requirement! Thanks for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things!

Thanks for stopping by, Angelina. Your trip sounds amazing. It seems it’s not difficult to capture that “totally French” feel with these beauties! xx

These are very lovely spaces focusing on Paris. The one with the Eiffel Tower in the background in dreamy. Jess just went to a French café, and she said it was just like being in Paris.

Happy Easter to you, friend.

I do love how air bnb and home away and the like have widened the choices and lowered prices – I can see you in all of those choices! x

Thank you, Naomi! Each apartment is so unique and charming. Sometimes it is difficult to choose. ;)

Ah Heather, what can I say after that jaw-dropping display of my favorite place on earth? I’ve been dreaming of Paris lately, just yearning to see the gray buildings as a backdrop against the pink blooms and other colors of Paris. These apartments are the epitome of French classic chic. ENJOY your planning mon amie! Anita

Isn’t it dreamy to have a peek inside these quintessential Parisian apartments, Anita? Putting this post together had me virtually visiting Paris for a day or 2. So perfect! Happy weekend, dear Anita.

YES! Now this is the way to go. For me, I think a vacay is the time to splurge. Not for everyone of course. Love all of your preferences. Thanks! And I know you and your guy choose a lot of great places to live it up! A big applause. We only live once!

I so agree with your perspective, Jane. I save up to splurge a bit on vacation. Aren’t these gorgeous?
Happy weekend!

Now I’m dreaming of Paris…gorgeous images!

Dreamy indeed! xx

OOO la la!!! Oui!! Oui!!! Positively gorgeous. Everyone!! Have a great weekend!!

Thanks sweet Katie! xx

Love your choices Heather! So many dream locations and beautiful apartments. We are trying to decide to go to Paris this summer. We have twice rented Paris apartments. I find all of them to be so well appointed and I love the tall windows they mostly all have. We did our first rental through VRBO. The second was Paris Address. I like them the most as they are based in Paris and meet you at the property which is nice. Our apartment was on Il de Cite near Notre Dame in a circular street facing a park called Place Delphine. Little restaurants lined the park, but it was still quiet and in the heart of the city. I can’t wait to check out all your choices. Have a good day! xo Kim

Il de Cite is would be such a beautiful part of the city in which to stay. We have typically stayed in the 6th or 7th. Always near the Seine.
I hope you do make it to Paris this summer. We will cap off our trip to Italy with a visit to Paris in July. Wouldn’t it be fun to be there at the same time?

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I’d be romantically content in any one of those! Italy and France are on my bucket list.

Me too, Shelly! Put them at the top of your bucket list. I know you will absolutely adore Italy and France!

Love to hear from you!
