Santa Monica Recommendations

Santa Monica is a mix of early Southern California glamor, stately mansions (on the north side of town), art deco ocean view hotels and an expansive beach with a laid back vibe. With upscale shopping, small boutiques, surfing, fine dining, a thriving art scene and the throwback vibe of the Santa Monica pier it’s safe to say Santa Monica has everything. For me, Santa Monica was a regular weekend escape from living inland back in the late 1980’s. Biking the beach paths, catching a swim or beach volleyball game, doing a little boutique shopping and dining with an ocean view were a few of my favorite things to do in this seaside beauty.
