Holiday Cheer & Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

It’s time for holiday cheer and wishes for a happy new year.

The holidays flew by, didn’t they?

Our holidays were filled with merriment, festivities, and maybe a few too many indulgences here and there. Do you feel like you’ve had your fill of holiday cheer, like I do?

I took a short blogging/social media break to thoroughly enjoy the holidays with my family. These are just a few of our holiday highlights as we ease into the new year.

Scott and I enjoyed our second annual “Champagne and Wrap” party for two. (It helps get the job done!) I spotted the easiest appetizer on pinterest: spiced pecans stuffed with gorgonzola or blue cheese. Place a dab of cheese between two pecan halves and press together. It couldn’t be more simple or delicious!

The girls 2015

We love having Scott’s girls for the holidays–they make life quite merry!

Christmas surprise

The girls enjoyed their surprise gift of a trip to San Francisco and tickets to the play, “A Christmas Carol”. I have no explanation for Scott’s “Ugly Sweater”. Let’s just say he won a prize at the office this season.

Holidays 2015 Lindstroms

We hosted the Lindstrom family Christmas and Christmas dinner this year. Even Scott’s 91-year-old dad was able to join us.

Mom's holiday table 2015

Our holidays “part 2” were in Lincoln at my mom’s and step-father’s home.

Mom's holiday table

Mom always sets such a beautiful table.  This year she added vibrant red roses and monogrammed initial stockings for each of us, stuffed with gift cards and a travel candle.

Heidi's table 2015

We ended our evening by opening gifts at my sister, Heidi’s, beautiful home. Her house is always so pretty. Heidi and her family cut this tree down together over Thanksgiving. Aren’t her new holiday plates from Pottery Barn darling?

I always love spending time with my family. We reminisced on a festive holiday together in London and Paris a few years ago.

Our holidays ended with a New Year’s eve bash with our neighbors this year. This was definitely a festive way to ring in 2016!

And with that, it’s on to the fresh new year and clearing the clutter.

Are you excited about all the possibilities of the new year like I am?

Heather, Your holiday sounds so nice and how fun to get to go to so many homes and spread it out. I loved all the tables. Scott is too cute in his ugly Christmas sweater. Max had one too! Hope you enjoyed the break. I am getting back in the swing of things and it was nice to also clear out and get ready for New Year after it all. Wishing you a great 2016 dear Heather. Hopefully we will meet up this year. Love, Kim

Happy New Year, Kim! We did enjoy a very festive holiday this year with lots of family time. It does feel good to clear out and get organized for the new year. Everything feels so fresh once all the holiday stuff is put away. ;) I would love to connect with you this year too. Let’s make it happen, dear Kim.
