A Few of My Favorite Things: Edit 2

There are only 12 days until Christmas and I am no where NEAR done with my shopping. Does that sound familiar? We have 4 parties this week and 2 of them we are hosting for our colleagues/friends at the house… :) Deep breath for this merry, and hectic, season!

Gift lists are on my mind this week.

Nothing makes me feel better after a busy day of work, or gift shopping, than to come home to comfy lounge wear and sleepwear.

I’m excited to introduce a new line with designer Anne Wiggins from London and her luxurious ethical silk lounge/sleepwear to the

Spa Crush Collection

I’m also eyeing anything Vince from Nordstrom

(for my gift lists AND for myself).

I also spotted a 40% off sale at Barneys which just so happens to be

one of my favorite stops when visiting San Francisco.

Another favorite thing this season:

Footwear from Sam Edelman at Zappos-booties, flats, sneaks….favorites!

Bite Beauty –Sephora

This lipstick is extremely popular with bloggers. When I learned that Bite Beauty is made from food grade, organic ingredients I was impressed. Spoken as a true lipstick junkie, no product that I use on my skin is more important than my lipstick–especially since I find myself ‘biting’ it off and reapplying–throughout the day. I ordered the ‘Pepper-dusty rose’ shade and I’m so pleased with the smooth finish and moisturizing quality of this luminous creme lipstick.

What it does:
This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term anti-aging benefits. Each lipstick contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine (wow!).

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This product is free of synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum byproducts and made exclusively with lip nurturing food-grade ingredients that are healthy enough to eat.

I am such a fan of this product!

I recently received a luxurious collection of french hair care from Dessange Paris. The products are the Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle line. I’ve used the three products–shampoo, conditioner and replenishing oil–for about a month now. To be honest, from the second day of use I started noticing my hair feeling more nourished and healthier. It definitely looked shinier which can be an issue for color treated + bleached hair like mine. I was impressed that the replenishing oil can be used on wet hair as an oil, or dry hair as a smoothing and finishing product. It didn’t leave my hair feeling greasy or weighed down as some products are prone to do. I’m super pleased with the results of the Oleo Miracle products from Dessange. They are available at target stores which makes them an easy get online with Target free shipping AND returns.

This is a fun article from Vogue on the history of the french Dessange and the french way to wash your hair.

Are you done with holiday prep

or still making your lists and checking them twice like I am?

The Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle collection of products was a gift to me. The opinions expressed are completely my own.

Gift cards are available from Stylemindchic Boutique (the gift of choice :)

Hi Heather,
ooh la la, lots of good ideas here girlie. I am going to the mall tomorrow to shop for my younger daughter, but umm, I’m gonna have to do a detour to check out the Bite lipstick. hope they have it in canada, sometimes Sephora here does not carry it, but we shall see. What else is shaking? 4 parties!! holy cannoli, you guys must be tired. But are you having fun? Do you look up from the conversations to see if he is somewhere in the room doing the same for you? because this is what it’s all about. I used to think that was the best part of a party. the secret language. anyway, gotta run, take care, be merry merry. xx Nancy
